Apocalypse Now

The Lost Photo Archive - Limited Edition of 30

From 1968 till 1970 I covered the wars in South Vietnam and Cambodia. In 1976 I was asked by Francis Ford Coppola to photograph the making of ‘Apocalypse Now’. I worked for six months on location in the Philippines; afterwards, Lee Beaupre, the marketing director, wrote in a press release that my photographic career had come full circle; from “Real to Reel”.

The 130 images in this photo-book were chosen out of more than 1900 color slides. These images had lain untouched for over thirty years in the air-conditioned vaults of the Nederlands Fotomuseum in Rotterdam
